Concrete & Installation Requirements

A proper installation begins with a suitable foundation. Before installing your Autostacker parking lift, verify that the installation site meets the minimum requirements outlined in the Installation & Operation Manual and all applicable local building codes.

Autostacker parking lifts must be installed indoors only on a level concrete floor. The concrete slab must be a minimum of 4.25 inches (108 mm) thick, have a minimum compressive strength of 3,000 PSI (20.7 MPa) and, if newly poured, be allowed to cure for at least 28 days before installation.

Do not install an Autostacker on asphalt, gravel, wood or any surface other than properly prepared concrete. The lift must not be installed on cracked, damaged or defective concrete, or over expansion joints or control joints. Anchor locations must be at least 6 inches (152 mm) away from expansion joints, control joints, walls and other inconsistencies in the concrete, while also meeting the anchor manufacturer's installation requirements.

The installation surface must be level and have a slope of less than 3 degrees. Installing the lift on an uneven surface can affect proper operation and vehicle positioning.

Autostacker is designed for installation on ground-level concrete floors. If installation is planned on an elevated slab, suspended floor or any structure with occupied space below, approval from the building architect or structural engineer is required before installation.

For safety and proper operation, Autostacker recommends that installation be performed by qualified personnel familiar with automotive lift installation procedures. Any required electrical work should be completed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable national and local electrical codes.

Always refer to the current Autostacker Installation & Operation Manual for complete installation requirements, safety information and operating instructions before installing or using your parking lift.
